Heh, I was wondering what happened to the local talk show in RTM2 (that is the only show I watched from this crappy station, mind you) until I saw this news in Malaysiakini today.

Information Minister Ahmad Shabery Cheek has been asked to explain the sudden disappearance of a popular television programme on state-owned RTM 2 which had seen a myriad of personalities airing their thoughts on current issues.

Among those who have appeared on the two-year old Chinese-language programme - called ‘What Say You?’ - were DAP parliamentarians Teresa Kok (Seputeh) and Liew Chin Tong (Bukit Bendera).

Sadly, I do not really understand advanced mandarin so I have to make do with the repeat telecast on Tuesday morning that includes subtitles.

Why were they taken off the air? Isn’t it obvious? For a government owned TV station, the nature of this show can be quite radical for the the guys in the 4th floor. Yeah, you won’t find any ass kissing talk in this show, just BN and Opposition MPs giving their uncensored views regarding the political circus in Malaysia, which is partly the reason I watched this show in the first place.

Should they morph into ass kissing mode after their so called rebranding, I am going to stop watching for good. Oh yeah, they are bringing Debat perdana back, I say don’t bother because you know how lopsided their debat is.

Obama is the next african american president in United States. I say we should also thanked popular TV series like 24 for casting a black american as the president.

I can’t remember if there are other movies or series casted an afrcan american as the president of United States. What used to be a work of fiction has become a reality now. Thanks America, for not letting rednecks to dictate the electoral results today.

It is truly a historic moment for United States. It took 200 over years for America to choose it’s first president outside from the white group. How long will it take Malaysia to have its own Non Malay Prime Minister? Another 1000 years? All I can say is, this ketuanan thing can be loosely translated into the asian version of rednecks.
