Hahahhaa what did ya know? They are going to make a movie about social media, in other words, movie about facebook. Don’t you think it’s going to be so hilarious because whatever they will discuss is going to hit a chord in our mind because we are familiar with the “jargons” in social media such as facebook? Whatever it is, I hope the movie will be a success because it will do good for Social Media.

I hate Screamyx but I hate monopolist even more - Malaysiakini

Business competition is good. it makes part of lives easier. One good example is the war between telco companies. They fight with each other, mudslinging with each other, we consumers get to benefit from their warring activities.

They fight, we get cheaper price from our telco services. I remember Maxis once cost a bomb before the emergence of rival telcos. Now, they have no choice but to lower their price in order to fight with the infamy yellowman.

But I still think packages from the yellow company is more attractive than the bland red company. Another going fight involves airfare. They should keep it that way, so that the stinky MAS will not have any reason to charge exorbitant price tag on their airfares.

It is really making life easier for frequent travelers. Let’s not stop there because our ISP Screamyx needs a formidable competitor. Yeah, we have Maxis broadband and other mumbo jumbo crap. But they are not strong enough to become a formidable competitor when all they do is to slap 5gb bandwidth per month cap on every user.

No one is going to pay something that is slightly expensive than screamyx knowing their bandwidth is opposed with a limit cap. This is why Screamyx continues to thrive although their service is described as shitty at best.

What is the purpose of subscribing to 4mb broadband if you need to deal with traffic shaping? You don’t subscribe 4mb broadband just to check your emails and chatting and fb-ing all day long, do you? This is why we need competition in this broadband business.

When this formidable competitor emerges, shitty services from Screamyx will miraculously disappeared without you noticing it. Monopolies and cronies who are holding a large pie of broadband business ought to be shot dead like those Bali bombers.

Have any one experience slow speed on your bittorrent lately?

Did you experience exremely slowdown in your torrenting activities lately? My download speed has greatly decreased since 3 days ago. It got really ridiculous to point where every file went on to like 1 or 3 kbps and it could only reach 20 kbps the most. I am not talking about measly tracker here. I am talking about those with lots of seeds and it is ridiculous to get speed as low as 3kbps on average. I can understand if they are currently shapping the traffic but to throttle it to the point of 2 - 3kbps is pretty ridiculous for broadband internet. What is the point of paying so much for 2mb - 4mb broadband when all you can is surf the internet? The 512 kbps package will do that work just fine. You don’t surf the internet every minute in front of your computer, right?

TM sucks and we all know that

Whenever there is a ongoing war between telco and ISP companies, we customers bound to benefit from it. It is sad that the same can’t be said in Malaysia due to the TM monopoly. As a result, we get mediocre and lousy service for a not so cheap price. Please don’t say we are ungrateful, because we don’t use it for free. We still to fork out RM 66 per month and that’s RM792 per year. So hearing some oxymoron comments that says we are not grateful for the broadband facilities is seriously flawed.
