I think the Writers Strike has done some good on the entertainment value as a whole. You can take a look at the Lost series. Lost has been pretty inconsistent in the previous 3 seasons but I think the writers tend to rush it when it was made for 20 episodes per season. Now that the next 2 seasons will have 17 episodes respectively, I think the quality of the show will be safeguarded. In a way, the Writers Strike has done good thing for the industry as a whole.
