I heard our cops want motorcycles to be banned from entering city and town as a measure to reduce crime. Maybe this move will be made possible if our public transportation is not shitty in the first place. I honestly do not think too many people will protest against this radical move in blocking the flow of motorcycles into the city.
What options do they have? I don’t think they are going to ubah their gaya hidup by switching to bicycles. Riding bicycles in KL or other large cities in Malaysia is like putting yourself in death row. The only difference is, you may not know when death will strike you. Perhaps it is better this way because it is never fun to expect death.
Death on the road should be sudden ok? It is true that Mat Rempits are a pest in our country and most of them ride their bikes to conduct their shock and awe operation. I can say it is the only pest in our country that cannot be eradicated with pesticide.
Shoot to kill order should be fun for the cops. But then, there are many other motorcyclists out there who cannot afford buying a car and once again I can’t help to remind you how shitty the public transportation is.
Unless the situation improves, I do not see how banning motorcycles are going to reduce crime in a significant way. Not only it is not going to decrease crime, it is going to cause another great deal of hardship to our already cornered citizens.
