They can search the articles in his laptop or CPU all they want.
The prosecution in Raja Petra Kamarudin’s sedition case today applied for the blogger’s CPU and notebook computer to be re-examined by the police computer forensic personnel.
DPP Ishak Mohd Yusof told Judge Rozina Ayob that the court could order the police computer forensic officer Wa’ie Iskal Kria Abdullah, 38, from the Commercial Crime Department to look into other folders in the CPU and notebook seized from Raja Petra’s house.
But I am not sure what they are going to find there. With today’s internet technology, a person can easily write their blog entries from another place without actually saving it into their computer. Therefore I personally think it’s a lost cause and a waste of time to search for the said files in RPK’s laptop.
I mean this person knows what is at stake when he wrote his ‘defamatory’ articles and it is unlikely that he saves his drafts in his laptop after he publishes it. He has been remanded for more than 50 days, don’t tell me they havent find a single thing from his computer? So what if they found that article in his laptop? Heh it really speaks alot about their computer forensic skills, don’t you think?
