Yes, Helen Ang’s right. If the government was not so anal about giving some air space for the opposition to channel their thoughts and allow the rakyat to voice our their authentic ‘grievances’ in the first place, Malaysiakini would not have taken off like it is today.
If the printed media was not slapped with 1001 regulations from the authorities, blogs wouldn’t become a mouthpiece like it is today. So every fire was ignited from the Barang Naik Brigade and right now they are really running out of ideas to extinguish the very own fire they cast on their own robe.
